E. G. Durst is set to release her debut children's storybook, Summer Bear, in September 2026. This story is part of The Big Forest series which is a planned four-part collection.

Born in New Brunswick and raised in Ottawa, Canada's capital, E. G. Durst calls the city home, where she writes alongside her whippet and her cat. She has read and written stories since she was young and wanted to create some of the magic she felt then for the next generation. A proud alumna of the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College.
